Job-Finding Resources You May Not Have Thought Of

If you’re at your wits’ end looking for a new job, you might just be looking in the wrong places. Here are some unexpected places you could find the next step in your career.

Social media

That’s right! Social media can have more uses than online shopping or cat videos. Employers are usually active on social media and may even post openings from time to time. It’s also a great way to network and meet new people in your industry! The most common and well-known site for this is LinkedIn, but you can also network and find jobs on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter.

Recruiting firms

When many people begin their job search, they often don’t think about reaching out to recruiting firms in their industry – but this is a great way to find a potential position! You can find recruiters on LinkedIn or with a quick internet search. They often know of a variety of available positions and can even assist you with resume adjustments or interview practice.

Niche Job Boards

When you think of a job board, you probably think of Indeed. But there are many more job boards out there that fit specific niches and industries. Sites like iHire or AANP are specific to medical professionals, so it’s easier to find positions that fit what you’re looking for! It’s also more common for healthcare systems to use sites like these, so take a look!

Happy job hunting! And if you’d like to talk to a recruiter about job openings across the US, reach out here.
