Matt began his healthcare recruitment career in 2015 after a decade-long career with a leading Sprint Preferred Retailer. In various leadership roles there, he interviewed and hired hundreds of professionals, unknowingly honing his recruiting skills and paving himself a path into a recruiting career. In 2022, Matthew realized his dream of small business ownership by acquiring a boutique healthcare recruitment firm and rebranding it SHS Recruitment Partners establishing the following Core Value:

Matthew is actively involved in several healthcare industry associations, including the National Association of Physician Recruiters (NAPR) where he co-Chairs the Ethics Committee, the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS), and the American Staffing Association (ASA). Additionally, Matthew serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors for First Choice, Inc., a consortium of boutique healthcare recruitment firms, where he also Chairs its Technology Committee.

A native of the Kansas City metropolitan area, Matthew attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas, where he studied both Atmospheric Science/Meteorology, as well as Broadcast Journalism, and later pursued a degree in Management and Human Relations at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas. He now resides in Southwest Florida with his wife, Alisha, and son, Alan.
