You are invited to join one of California's top-ranked non-profit hospital systems based in a safe, quaint town along the Central Coast of California. In this position, you will serve as a diabetes expert, consulting with patients throughout the hospital with potential to expand into a hybrid inpatient/outpatient role.
Details Include:

Work in an inpatient role in a 258-bed hospital with a team of Nurse Practitioners and Diabetes Educators

Consult patients throughout the hospital in glycemic management and diabetes education

Sees 8-12 patients per day, on average

Work alongside hospitalist, RN Diabetes Educator, registered dietician, Discharge Planners, Social Workers, and patient's outpatient support system to ensure a safe transition out of the hospital

Insulin drips are managed by pharmacy; assist patients when transitioning off insulin drips

Because it lies along the ocean and parallel to the predominant westerly winds, sideshore and light onshore breezes moderate temperatures, result in warmer winters and cooler summers compared with places farther inland.
